The Sompo Foundation was established in 2023 to enable Sompo to give back on a global scale. The Sompo Foundation makes strategic investments in social causes, coordinates charitable efforts, and targets specific areas and issues for a more significant and lasting impact for people in the communities where we live and work.
Sompo Foundation’s mission is to impact positive change and improve quality of life through our support of programming around education and wellbeing.
Our giving priorities reflect who we are as an organization and the positive change we hope to impact. While we understand that there are many important opportunities and charitable organizations across the globe, to achieve the greatest impact in our areas of focus the Sompo Foundation has a strategic and narrow giving approach.
Sompo Foundation invests in global programs that provide equitable and scalable resources in the areas of education and wellbeing. We invest in our employees’ interests and causes through both Matching Gifts and volunteer activities.
We invest, when necessary, in supporting global communities affected by natural disasters.
The Sompo Foundation will respond to unforeseen and widespread catastrophic events in areas where employees and customers live and work.
Sompo Foundation works directly with our philanthropic partners and proactively engages with organizations throughout the world.
Sompo Foundation is not presently accepting unsolicited proposals from charitable organizations.
