John Meade is SVP, Head of Private Equity, Financial Lines at Sompo.
In this role, he is responsible for strategy execution, client engagement, portfolio management, and market development across key industry segments, with a focus on complex financial and professional liability risks.
Mr Meade has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, with expertise spanning Financial Institutions, Private Equity, and Management Liability. He has held senior underwriting and leadership positions, with responsibilities covering underwriting strategy, portfolio development, and the delivery of tailored risk solutions for sophisticated clients.
Prior to joining Sompo, Mr Meade held leadership roles at Old Republic Professional and AIG, where he supported the growth and management of financial lines portfolios.
Mr Meade earned his undergraduate degree from Hartwick College and completed graduate studies at Durham Business School.
