Martin Joyce is Head of National Management Liability at Sompo, having joined the company in April 2025.

In this role, he is responsible for the leadership and development of Sompo’s UK management liability offering, overseeing underwriting strategy, portfolio management and market engagement across national accounts.

Mr Joyce has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, with the past 18 years focused on the UK Financial Lines sector.

His background includes senior leadership responsibilities within regional and national business structures, with a strong emphasis on disciplined underwriting and sustainable portfolio growth.

Prior to joining Sompo, Mr Joyce was Head of Financial Lines for UK Regions at Arch Insurance. Before that, he led the UK Regional Financial Lines business at DUAL Corporate Risks.
